This pair of black rams horns is one of the more unusual challenges which certainly tested the skills of our repairers:

A customer from Inverness, Scotland, inspired by a religious text announcing that "all horns around the world shall sound for the Millennium" asked if it was possible to bore out a pair of black rams horns so that his church could celebrate the arrival of the Millennium in a most fitting and original way?

We very carefully and successfully, carved out the insides of both horns, turned two brass ferrules to fit snuggly over the ends so that a bugle mouthpiece could be fitted to each horn, two engraved brass plates were inset, the outside of each horn polished and finally, a display case was made to house these unique instruments - whether they'll survive to welcome the dawn of the next Millennium, only time will tell!
